The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a ridge overlooking the Bride's Glen to the S. A roughly oval-shaped cairn (L 14m; Wth 12m; H 1.2m) orientated E-W. The kerbstones are visible along the N and S sides. The cairn narrows towards the E and curves inwards to create a heel-shaped appearance. There are indications of a straight façade at the W end (Fanning 1974, 151-3). Excavations close by in 2000 produced a finely polished, broken stone axe with pecking on its sides, possibly of dolerite, (Seaver & Keeley 2002, 12-14 ).
