The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise, in a green area, NE of Kill Abbey road. A graveyard, irregular to sub-rectangular in shape (N-S 41.8m, E-W 78m). Within the walled graveyard a pre-Norman church with a late medieval chancel (DU023-015001-) were noted (Wakeman 1891, 702; Ball 1902, 251-2, Turner 1983, 40-41).
The site is located within a complex which includes a pre-Norman church with a late medieval chancel (DU023-015001-), a holy well (DU023-015003-) a bullaun stone (DU023-015007-), two cross-slabs (DU023-015005-, DU023-015006-), a stone font (DU023-015009-), the base of a stone cross (DU023-015008-), and two crosses (DU023-015004) from the former laneway into the graveyard which are now in the care of the OPW in Trim, county Meath.
The following report details the osteological analysis of human remains excavated at St. Fintan’s Park, Kill of the Grange, Co. Dublin in January and February 2018. The remains of at least two individuals were retrieved during a rescue excavation carried out by Paul Duffy of IAC Ltd (Ministerial Consent C000845, Registration No. E004940) to facilitate ground works associated with the laying of a drainage pipe. The excavation area was situated to the north of the boundary wall surrounding Kill of the Grange Church and Graveyard (National Monument 207, DU023-015) in St. Fintan’s Park. Two sections of parallel northwest-southeast running
ditches were excavated in the narrow excavation area, one which contained medieval pottery and the other, a burial and deposits of animal bone. The burial activity has been dated to the early medieval period – 5th to 7th centuries AD.
