The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low rise, in a green area, NE of Kill Abbey road. A granite cross base within the nave of the church (DU023-015001-) in Kill of the Grange graveyard (DU023-015002-). The base has a rectangular mortice (L 0.31m x Wth 0.25m x D. 0.12m). This cross base which had a smaller cross inserted was originally located 100m to the SSW of the church as shown on the 25-inch OSi map. The cross-base was removed c. 1970 from this location and placed inside the nave of the church for safe keeping by the OPW and the head of the cross was removed to the OPW depot at Trim, Co. Meath.
The site is located within a complex which includes a pre-Norman church with a late medieval chancel (DU023-015001-), a graveyard (DU023-015002-), a holy well (DU023-015003-), a bullaun stone (DU023-015007-), a cross-inscribed stone (DU023-015005-), a stone font (DU023-015009), and two crosses (DU023-015004) from the former laneway into the graveyard which are now in the care of the OPW in the Trim depot, county Meath.
