The National Monuments Service's description

Pre-development investigations in 2003 at 24-8 Mary's abbey/ revealed the base plate remains of medieval timber revetments south of Mary's abbey thought to be part of a riverine revetment. The position of the timbers indicated that the revetment aappeared to have been built perpinduclar to the river Liffey (H. Kehoe 2006, 141).
