The National Monuments Service's description
Test excavations on a development N of the Royal Hospital in 2002 uncovered a pit burial (Walsh 2004, 169). The Food Vesssel sat in an unprotected pit (L0.59m, Wth 0.5m). There was no evidence of a cist or mound (Walsh 2004, 169).
