The National Monuments Service's description
Acccording to OPW correspondence, dated 05 May 1986, a burial pit was discovered in 1895 during excavations for the foundations of the former Marlborough College in the Meterological Office. This contained human remains and possible weaponry. There are no visible remains at ground level.
