The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the S bank of the river Liffey. According to Ball (1906, 81) the 18th-century mansion of Woodville occupied the site of Ballydowd Castle. Woodville has since been destroyed (Bence-Jones, 1978, 287). Not visible at ground level.
