The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated in advance of the Gas Pipeline to the West (Licence no. 02E0686). Located in a rolling well-drained landscape the monument consisted of an irregularly shaped spread (1.4m x 1.2m) of firing material. The trough was sub-circular in plan (1.26m diam.) and appeared to have been abandoned and partially silted up (Tobin 2007, 220).
