The National Monuments Service's description
In rough, stony pasture, located on a terrace in an area of undulating terrain broken by extensive limestone outcropping. To N, the ground drops in a series of limestone terraces to an expanse of flat, damp ground stretching to a river which is located c. 200m to N of the enclosure. There is a spring well c. 100m to N. Broadly oval area (int. diam. c. 28m E–W; 25.5m N–S) defined by a collapsed stone wall. The wall is evident as a broadly slumped, moss-covered stone bank (Wth 2-4m at E, 5.2m at W; int. H 0.45m at E, 0.6m at W; ext. H 0.2m at E, 0.45m at W). At NNW–NE it is incorporated into a later field wall, and merges with the natural terrace slope (H 1.4m) which is covered in a spread (Wth 5m N–S) of loose stones. There are two moss-covered stone heaps (max. dim. c. 3m; H 0.5m) in the E half of the interior. The original entrance may have been at E where there appears to be a gap (Wth c. 3m), partly obscured by overgrowth. The perimeter is ringed with clumps of brambles, with hazel and blackthorn at NW–NE. There is an enclosure (DG103-089----) located 22m to E, a possible enclosure (DG103-087----) 40m to SE, and a souterrain (DG103-090001-), a possible house (DG103-090002-), and an enclosure (DG103-090003-) c. 100m to NE.
