The National Monuments Service's description
Situated atop a low hillock in mountain valley upland area with limited views to NW and SE. According to local information this possible monument has a tradition that it is the site of a burial. The possible monument consists of a slight sunken circular area (diam. 5.9m NW-SE; 4.35m E-W) defined by two quartz slabs and one upright orthostat (H 0.7m; Wth 0.75m) with possible evidence of packing stones at the base of the orthostat. It is not clear of this is an archaeological monument or if the sunken area is the result of quarrying. The upright orthostat with possible packing stones at its base may suggest that this is an archaeological monument. According to local information this group of stones marks the site of a Childrens burial ground (pers. comm. S McGinley 30 August 2010-).
