The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. c. 12m. A subcircular area now enclosed by the remains of a collapsed stone wall. The inner and outer facing stones are visible at some points and indicate an original wall thickness of 1.9m. The wall is composed of large outer stones with a small-stone core filling. The wall survives to a height of c. 0.3m. It is situated on top of a knoll known as An Drungán, the N side being on the cliff edge, in poor pasture on the N flank of Glencolumbkille valley.

The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
