The National Monuments Service's description
On undulating agriculture land. Three short cists (DG079-044001-; DG079-044003- and DG079-044004-) and a fourth possible funerary monument (DG079-044002-) were discovered here in 2004. This, the third cist, was excavated (Licence: 04E0505) in the same year by Buckley and Buckley on behalf of the National Museum of Ireland. It was located 3.5m E of the first cist (DG079-044001-) and 2.5m NNW of the second (DG079-044003-). Trapezoidal-shaped structure defined by five slabs set on edge – one each at the E, W and N sides and two at the N. It is narrowest at the N end. The floor was composed of a single slab. The capstone (0.92m x 0.9m; T 0.2m) had been fractured by the bulldozer. The cist contained an inhumation of an adolescent, probably male, accompanied by a bipartite pottery bowl decorated with impressed designs. The skeleton has been placed on its right side in a crouched position with the arms flexed. The bowl had been placed between the pelvis and the elbow (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 1, 140-152).
