The National Monuments Service's description
This church appears to have been built on the site of an earlier 17th century parish (DG053-043001-) church with adjoining graveyard(DG053-043002-) with earliest graveslab (DG053-043003-) dating from c. 1620 (SMR file 1996). Another 17th century graveslab (L 1.72m; Wth 0.80m) dedicated to the Boyd family is located 4m S of the SE angle of the C of I church. This graveslab commemorates the resting place of Isabel Smith wife of John Boyd of Letterkenny who died in 1671.
