The National Monuments Service's description

A standing stone 1.34m high × 0.75m wide × 0.18m thick; N-S. Situated near the crest of a low hill with good views in all directions. The locational co-ordinates for this monument are precisely the same as those given for a pit burial (DG027-025----) investigated by the National Museum of Ireland (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol 1, 134).

The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983).
