The National Monuments Service's description
The 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map seems to show a single-ringed enclosure here but it may simply be a representation of the steep-sided, flat-topped hill, subcircular on top, and measuring c. 18m N-S and c. 16m E-W. A short stretch of bank c. 0.5m high on the SE and a 10m stretch .3m high on the NW may be the remains of an enclosure which would thus have had an internal diameter of c. 12m. The hill which itself consists of rough pasture is surrounded by wettish land.
The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated.
