The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Approximately circular area (diam. 31m) enclosed by very ruined remains of stone wall obscured by field clearance debris. Two courses of stone facing visible internally at NE. Wall replaced at W by field boundary. Low bank of grass-covered collapse visible from E-S-W, 3-4m outside stone wall. Gaps at NW and SSW, original entrance not identifiable.
