The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007
Subcircular area (55m SSE-NNW) enclosed from SE-W-N by stone wall with earthen core (H 1-1.3m) and elsewhere by scarp (max. H 2m) with drystone facing (completely collapsed in places). Gaps at SE and NNW and possibly blocked at N; original entrance not identifiable. Very overgrown. Monument appears to be largely modified and adapted to field system.
