The National Monuments Service's description

On the N-facing slope of Slievebawn in the Blackstairs Mountain range, in rough upland pasture. A rectangular structure identified by Séamus Ó Murchú and visible on Bing satellite imagery (Ó Murchú 2016). This is not depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map or on subsequent editions, suggesting it pre-dates 1840. Only the grassed-over footings of this sod-built house survive, orientated roughly NW-SE (ibid.). The house forms the SW side of a small enclosed farmyard. The ruins of another upland house (CW020-032----) are located c. 100m to the S.
