Situated on high ground with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Rectangular shaped area (approx. dims. 50m E-W; 30m N-S) enclosed by a post-medieval stone wall with entrance gates at E and W. Graveyard contains memorials mainly dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Church ruins (CW019-011001-) stand in W quadrant of graveyard with post-medieval house ruins standing in N quadrant. High cross base (CW019-011003-) stands to S of church in SW quadrant of graveyard. Farmyard located immediately to N of graveyard. 19th century C of I church and graveyard located immediately to E of church ruins and graveyard. On the 1839 ed. OS 6-inch map the graveyard is depicted as a smaller square shaped area with church ruins standing in centre of graveyard with post-medieval building depicted to N with laneway leading down to farmyard intersecting SW corner of graveyard. 19th century C of I church depicted to E of graveyard on this map. 19th century C of I church described by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage as following; ‘Detached seven-bay single-cell Gothic Revival Church of Ireland church, c. 1838, with buttresses and parapet to chancel having finials. Designed by Frederick Darley. Renovated c. 1862, with tower, broach spire and vestry projection added. Interior retains stone pulpit, group of wall monuments, stained glass windows, gallery and later timber-sheeted coved ceiling. Remains of detached church, pre-1835, to site.
