The National Monuments Service's description
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007
Circular area (diam. 42m) enclosed by well defined bank with stone facing on inner face (int. H c. 1.7m, ext. H c. 2m). No visible surface traces of fosse. Gap at N possibly original. Line of stone protruding through bank at NW suggests possible stone-lined entrance, now blocked.
