The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Rectangular structure aligned E-W (c. 17m x c. 8.2m externally). Lower courses of mortared granite rubble visible. Traces of internal wall, 6m from E gable visible. No visible trace of graveyard (CW016-012002-) which is depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as a square area (map dims. c. 30m x 30m)
