The National Monuments Service's description
Situated as part of a stone style and gateway at the base of a sloping farm trackway, adjacent to a field boundary. The rock art is unlikely to be in its original location. It sits as one of four boulders placed contiguously on the ground surface forming an edge to the field boundary ditch. The landowner confirmed that he had placed two of the adjacent boulders into position along the trackway and this stone may have been moved there at some earlier period. It comprises a low plectrum shaped granite boulder with rounded edges (1.15m NE-SW; 1.04m NW-SE) rising to 0.52m at its highest point with the upper surface inclining to the NW. A cluster of 8 cup-mark motifs are found on the sloping upper surface, clustering in a central area (0.50 x.0.40m). Four main cup-marks follow an L-shaped configuration with these cup-marks ranging in diameter and depth from a maximum (0.14 x 0.13, D 0.05) to a minimum (0.08 x 0.09, D 0.25). Smaller satellite cup-marks, some very slight, are situated just to the W of the main cup-marks with a tiny outlier at the NE (0.03 x 0.03, D 0.01).
