Head of high cross inserted into top of stone structure covering holy well (CW008045009-) which has been built into S face of NE wall of graveyard (CW008-045005-) where Augustinian friary (CW008-045001-) was located. River Slaney located 17m to NE. Head of solid-wheeled cross with mouldings and projecting arms ( H 1.02m; Wth across arms 1.1m; T 0.26m), decorated with step and interlace patterns. Believed to have originally come from a field in Templeowen. (Harbison 1992, 178 (entry 222)) (See CW008-078---- for original location record)
