The National Monuments Service's description
Situated against the N bank of an E-W section of the road from Mountnugent to Aghanskeagh, and c. 170m from the centre of Mountnugent. It was brought to attention by Alan Mc Millan. The top part of a headstone is a roughly triangular sandstone (Wth 0.85m; H 0.75m; T 0.1m) and is inscribed in roman letters. It reads: IHS / PRAY FOR THE / SOUL OF / PHILIP REILLY / DHO DIED AUGUST / THE 30 / 1759 AGED 25 / AND JUSTINE NELLY REIL / LY WHO DIED THE 16 / OF JANUARY 1751 AGED 21.
