The National Monuments Service's description
A field report, dated 2 April 1986, records a grotto in the graveyard to the NE of St Brigid's Church and that 'a stone taken from the possible church site at Aghnaskeagh [see CV042-001001-] was at the base of this grotto. The grotto is set in a curving stone wall , the base of which is rather overgrown.' The 'stone' was located at this time and its present whereabouts are unknown.
