The National Monuments Service's description

84m N of mines (CO139-053---); on E slope of Mt. Gabriel. Large working driven into base of prominent E-facing rock scarp. Mine entrance infilled with spoil from associated dumps; narrow gap (Wth 1m; H 0.3m) allows access into chamber (L c. 6m; Wth c. 3-4m; H c. 1.5m); rubble floor with flooding near backwall. (O'Brien 1987: mine 9)
