The National Monuments Service's description

In rough grazing, on bog, on a N-facing hillslope overlooking the valley of the Mealagh River. Intermittent traces of relict, mainly curvilinear, stone field boundaries (T 0.6m; H 0.5m), protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and extend over a roughly rectangular area (c. 400m E-W; c. 250m N-S) along the hillside. Most of the upright slabs are set at right angles to the line of the stone walls. A pre-bog field boundary (L 6m; H 0.6m), exposed through turf-cutting on the E face of the bog, was noted towards the centre of the area. There is an enclosure (CO119-104----) c. 50m to the N.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
