The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture on N-facing slope. Rectangular stone aligned N-S (H 4.4m; 1.4m x 0.7m).
Myler (1998, 106) notes that this is the largest standing stone in the Mealagh Valley and that 'this stone was rumoured to have had markings on it and it is said that a piece of the gallaun was knocked off when it was hit by a bolt of lightning'.
