The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture in basin of headwater of Durrus river. One of the five stones, the N entrance stone, has fallen. Others are 0.9m to 1.4m L, 0.4m to 0.5m T and 0.8m to 1.25m H. Internal measurement along main axis, aligned NE-SW, is c. 2.5m. Prostrate stone (L 2.4m; 1.4m) c. 2m S of circle, possible fallen standing stone, rests on small heap of rubbish. (Ó Nualláin 1984, no. 86; Roberts 1988, Ch. 5, no. 6).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
