The National Monuments Service's description
In levelled ringfort (CO118-063001-). Two souterrains (see CO118-063003-) indicated on OS 6-inch map (1944). Area of collapse (diam. c. 4m) and two openings (inaccessible) reveal earth-cut construction. Not possible to distinguish two souterrains from surface evidence.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
