The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on a S-facing slope. A horseshoe-shaped mound (12.6m NE-SW; 10.5m NW-SE; H 1.2m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The opening (Wth 3.3m) faces a stream at NW. Patches of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil are exposed intermittently on the mound. Two enclosures (CO116-036001-, CO116-042----) lie c. 45m to the SE and c. 50m to the W, respectively.
