The National Monuments Service's description

In rough grazing, on the W bank of a stream. An irregular mound (10m N-S; 6m E-W; H 0.8m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil, largely covered with gorse and heather. Burnt material is exposed intermittently along the eroding W bank of the stream, where a shallow depression indicates the remains of the opening of the fulacht fia. An enclosure (CO116-034002-) lies c. 50m to the SE.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
