The National Monuments Service's description
In rough, uneven, upland grazing, on blanket bog, on a gentle S-facing slope, on the S foothills of Miskish Mountain. A sod-covered roughly circular cairn (c. 4.5m E-W) that mainly lies in uncut bog. An exposed portion (L c. 4.3m N-S; H 0.45m) of the W sector of the cairn is visible in cutaway bog. This material comprises stones of various shapes and sizes which are set on the clay. There is a depression in the centre of the cairn. A second cairn (CO115-126001-) lies c. 12m to the N. Another cairn (CO114-081008-) is in an adjacent field to the SW.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
