The National Monuments Service's description
In rough grazing, on break in W-facing slope. Circular raised area (21m N-S; 21m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.2m) with external fosse (D 0.2m) S->E. Entrance (Wth 1.7m) to SE, defined by pair of orthostats on each side.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
