The National Monuments Service's description

In rough heather and gorse-covered hill grazing, on a terrace on a S-facing slope overlooking Castledonovan. The remains of a roughly circular hut site (4.4m N-S; 4m E-W) defined by the lower courses of a partially collapsed, single-stone wide, drystone wall (T 0.45m; H 0.55m). Rubble is scattered in the level interior. A linear E-W wall forms a separate compartment in the N quadrant; its function is unclear.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
