The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was reported by archaeologist Tony Miller who describes it as follows: "Immediately on the other side of the stream from the hut site (CO104-043----) are the remains of two conjoined rectangular houses. They are quite unusual for being sited in such an out of the way place, a long walk from any other inhabited areas. There are also faint signs that the eastern part might have been built over a previous hut site, but this is unclear. These buildings have been built only c. 2m from the stream and roughly parallel to it. The eastern half is the oldest part and its eternal measurements are c. 3.6m E-W and c. 2.6m N-S with a centrally placed doorway in the south wall c. 0.8m W. It is well built of a dry stone construction and the collapsed wall material is very overgrown with turf and heather. The western half was built on to the previous building at a later date. It is also remarkably well built of dry stone walling with a max. H of c. 1.6m. The entrance is on the east side of the south wall against the earlier building and measures c. 1m W. Its external measurements are c. 3.8m E-W and c. 3.1m N-S. At some point after the western gable of this dwelling collapsed a rough dividing wall was built across it to create an enclosed area, presumably for animals."
