The National Monuments Service's description

On the top of a partially overgrown mound, in a level field to the E of Ballycrovane Harbour. The overgrown perimeter of the mound (32m E-W; 28m N-S; H 2.5m) displays traces of stone facing, especially along its N arc. It slopes up gradually to a flat roughly circular top (diam. c. 11m) which is almost totally obscured by briars and ferns. Here traces of a circular area (diam. c. 9m) are defined by a wall (Wth 0.9m; H 0.4-1m) of mainly large stones. Dense overgrowth prevents closer examination. The site is known locally as the 'lios'.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
