The National Monuments Service's description

In low lying bogland on E bank of stream. Rough circle (diam. 2.5m) of eight stones (average height c. 0.25m) Possible entrance to NW formed by pair of stones (H 0.82m; 0.58m x 0.18m: H 0.58m; 0.75m x 0.15m). Low mound (H 0.9m; 4m NE-SW; 1m NW-SE) adjoins circle to NW. Two prostrate stones to S. (O'Brien 1970, 21).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
