The National Monuments Service's description
On a small terrace, high up on the N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (4.1m E-W; 3.8m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.4m), the lower courses of which protrude from the peaty soil. The possible entrance is defined by two radially set stones at the NE. The level interior, which is in pasture, is raised (H 0.2m) at the N by horizontally laid stones and is cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope at the S to compensate for the hillslope. Rubble is scattered downslope to the N.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
