The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, most of which is cutaway bog, at the foot of Tooreennamna Mountain. A network of relict field boundaries (T max. 0.75m; H max. 0.65m) has been exposed by turf-cutting in a roughly rectangular area (c. 140m N-S; c. 250m E-W). The stretches of relict boundaries are largely in a collapsed state with only the base stones protruding above the surface of the remaining shallow bog. Occasionally the relict boundaries disappear under deeper bog. The visible walls, which appear to be set on the underlying mineral soil, are generally curvilinear and vary in length.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
