The National Monuments Service's description

On rough stony pasture, on cutaway bog, on the lower N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. The substantial remains of collapsed, relict, stone field boundaries (T 1m; H 0.5m) have been exposed by turf-cutting in this area (c. 150m NE-SW x c. 40m NW-SE). The walls are mainly curvilinear and contain a mixture of large and small stones. These pre-bog field boundaries appear to rest on the underlying mineral soil. The surrounding area is also stony, indicating that the walls may have been constructed from field clearance before the bog began to develop. An enclosure (CO102-039001-) and a hut site (CO102-039002-) are c. 40m to the NW.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
