The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the N bank of a river. A horseshoe-shaped grass-covered mound (9.4m E-W; 5.9m N-S; H 0.65m) with its opening (Wth 2m) facing S. Heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil are exposed at SE where the mound is being eroded. An outcropping rock is incorporated into the mound at NW. A burnt mound (CO102-031008-) lies c. 140m to the NE.
