The National Monuments Service's description
On the W bank of a small stream, in an area of cutaway bog at the foot of Tooreennamna Mountain. An irregular grass-covered mound (6m N-S; 4.5m E-W; H 0.2m). The mound is being eroded by the stream and heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil are visible in the bank of the stream. A field boundary wall (CO102-004004-) runs along the E bank of the stream.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
