This limekiln is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 3 Mid-Cork' (1997, 209) under the entry (no. 8292) for a rath (CO095-014----). It is mentioned in the entry as follows: 'Bank on S side incorporates remains of limekiln (CO095-014001-)'.
