In rough hill pasture, on bog, on a W-facing slope and within a network of relict field boundaries (CO091-016001-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 2.6m) defined by a bank (Wth 0.8m; H 0.3m) of earth and stone NE-SE and elsewhere by intermittent and eroded traces of the bank. The interior, which is in pasture, is raised (H 0.3m) at the W and cut (D 0.5m) into the upslope at the E to compensate for the hillslope. An enclosure (CO091-016002-) is c. 70m to the N.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
