The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, in low-lying ground c. 25m to the E of a stream. A spread (12.5m N-S; 8m E-W) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was noted here in 1994 (Ó Loingsigh 1994). This spread was not located in 2002 as the field was under high grass. A second possible burnt mound (CO089-069001-) was noted 25m to the N and there is a rath (CO089-023----) c. 150m to the S.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
