At E side of graveyard (CO086-04501-), ivy-clad ruins of rectangular church (int.: 17m E-W; 4.8m N-S). Upper part of E gable and E ends of N and S walls fallen. Doorway W of centre in S wall with pointed stone arch; lower half of door now below ground level. Central E window has rectangular light once divided by mullion which is now missing. Window with single ogee-headed light high on W gable. Central window ope in S wall almost completely destroyed. Outside E end of N wall much ruined rectangular structure (5m E-W; 3.2m N-S), probably vestry. Interior ground level has risen considerably due to burials; headstones here date from 1779, near door is grave of Rev. Florence McCarthy who died in 1805 (Coleman 1910-12), at which 'rounds' are made (Brunicardi 1913, 42). Parish church of Killanully, ruinous in 1615 but repaired by 1639, however by 1699 it was again roofless (Brady 1863, vol. 1, 149-50)
