The National Monuments Service's description
In rough grazing; adjacent to stile giving access to holy well (CO083-060002-) c. 50m to NNW. Boulder (c. 2m x c. 1.5m; H c. 0.6m) embedded in ground, has cross scratched on upper surface by pilgrims making rounds in conjunction with holy well. Base of rock encircled by ring of small quartzite stones.
