The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on NW-facing slope. Circular area (28m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2m). External fosse survives as shallow depression at base of bank to S. Bank stone-faced internally to S; entrance (Wth 4m) to NW. Remains of lime kiln (CO082-054002-) in bank to NNW, facing out onto trackway which skirts enclosure NNW->ENE. Grass-covered material, dumped against external face of bank to W and NW, appears to be composed of earth and stone. Interior slopes down to NW; low triangular-shaped grass-covered mound (diam. c. 6m) in N half near bank; large partially grass-covered stone in S half; souterrain (CO082-054003-) in NE quadrant.
