The National Monuments Service's description
Located near the southern tip of the western shoreline of the Amenity Walk & Playground Little Island, approximately 350m south of midden (CO075-024001-). It lies several meters above the shoreline above rock outcrops. It is accessible by the shoreline at low tide or from the Amenity walk. The midden stretches roughly N/S above a rocky cliff face. It is difficult to reach the southernmost end and length measurements are estimated based on what could safely be observed. This length was estimated to be approximately 18m. An estimated width of approximately 4m was identified by shells visible in the vegetation above the cliff face. The midden material was exposed at various elevations along the cliff face, potentially due to land slippage. The maximum undisturbed thickness was 0.10m and the maximum disturbed thickness was 0.25m. The deposit was primarily made up of oyster shells with winkles and mussels seen in loose spread. A possible copper bullet casing was noted in section.
